Tourism is one of the dynamically developing industries and the fastest growing markets in Latvia, Europe and worldwide with unlimited perspectives. The aforementioned programme has been worked out and successfully implemented at Information Systems Management Institute giving its adherence to the growing needs in highly qualified specialists as well as catering for young people’s interests in getting a state-of-the-art education, ensuring them a good advancement in professional growth and career.The graduates of the study programme “Tourism management” are capable of carrying out qualitative market research and providing effective development of tourism product in Latvia and abroad. They can take responsibility to run different organizations in the tourism industry (travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, transport organizations, leisure and tourism consultation bureaus, tourism advertising companies).They can apply their knowledge in journalism.The curriculum provides a profound grounding for the future tourism managers comprising the study courses in:

• micro- and macroeconomics, management and marketing, finances and banking, accounting and auditing, commercial law;
• tourism management, recrealogy, geography of cultural centres, excursion guiding, travel agencies management, catering and accommodation industries;
• fundamental sciences( economical mathematics, scientific research methodology, philosophy, etc.;
• information technologies and computer sciences, computerized reservations system;
