Business Administration in Tourism is an accredited professional Bachelor’s Degree Study programme.

Tourism Management is one of the most perspective and dynamically developing fields of European and Latvian national economy, namely, tourism industry. Designed and successfully applied in study programme “Tourism Management” fully corresponds to growing needs of experts in the tourism field, and also to requirements of the youth in obtaining of modern education for successful professional growth.

The graduates from ISMA in the field of Tourism Management will be able to manage qualitative research on actual and expected needs of tourism services market, to organize an effective management of a tourism business in Latvia and abroad, to manage firms and organizations working in tourism industry, i. e. tourism agencies, hotels, restaurants, transport firms, regional centres of tourism and to work in departments of marketing research, tourism consulting bureau, in the sphere of advertising and journalism of tourism industry.

The study programme Tourism Management consists of course complexes providing managers with the comprehensive education in the following fields:

• Micro/Macro Economics, Management, Finances and Banking, Book keeping, Marketing, Audit, Commercial Rights;
• Tourism Management (Tourism Activity, Recrealogy, Geography of Culture of Tourism Centres, Excursion Management, Activity Organization of Travel Companies, Catering and residing industry);
• Information Technologies and Computer Sciences;
• Fundamental sciences (Economic Mathematics, Scientific Research Methodology, Philosophy etc.);
• Foreign Languages.

At Information Systems Management Institute there is a tourism club and study-travel agency, which enables the students to get practical skills in tourism business.

Course Duration:

• Full Time—4 years (morning and evening form),
  
• Part Time—4 years and 6 months.
