Erasmus+ opportunities give European educational institutions a great chance to exchange their experience, and ideas and establish cooperation!
It was a pleasure to meet the City Unity College team in Nicosia and to find new pathways that will lead to study and internship exchange for our students and will give us the possibility to foster our academic collaboration at a new level. During the visit which took place on November 9-16, 2022, ISMA was represented by Jevgenija Dehtjare, ISMA Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Julia Mironova, ISMA "Business Administration in Tourism" study program director. We had a great chance to meet City Unity College President of the Board, Elias Philippou, and were also introduced to our Latvian colleagues, who are involved in academic and administrative activities of the college for a long time - Zanete Garanti, Associate Professor, and Galina Berjozkina, Hotel Animation Programme Leader.
Besides administrative meetings, the teaching purposes of the visit were also realized fully by conducting lectures to the college`s Master of Business Administration students on the topics of professional burnout (Julia Mironova) and modern approaches in career planning (Jevgenija Dehtjare). Despite the fact Riga and Nicosia have a distance of more than 2.5k kilometers, we have found many similarities between the prevention of professional burnout and career planning among the students of both institutions.
We also would like to thank Erasmus+ coordinator Anthoula Koupepia for the smooth organization of the visit!
